Sherborne School Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1073522) is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of our alumni, parents and friends.

1998 Data Protection Act

All data is securely held in the Sherborne School Foundation/OSS office and will be treated confidentially and with sensitivity for the benefit of the Old Shirburnian Society, Sherborne School, Sherborne International the Sherborne School Foundation and their respective members.  The data is available to our international chapters, School academic and administrative departments, recognised alumni, sports and other clubs associated with the School, and to trusted agents contracted by the above for particular alumni-related and fundraising projects.

Data is used for a full range of alumni and fundraising activities, including the sending of Foundation, OS Society and School publications by post and by email; the promotion of benefits and services available to alumni, notification of alumni and fundraising events and of programmes involving academic and administrative departments.  Data may also be used by the Foundation for direct marketing, and occasionally for contact by telephone.

Under the terms of the 1998 Data Protection Act you have the right to object to the use of your data for any of the above.

Data is collected from information given willingly by alumni, parents and other friends of the School.  Additional data may be obtained from third party sources including social media, reputable websites and screening lists.
