The School, with the help of the Foundation, has funded a writer in residence.

The residency provides boys with the chance to work with a literary specialist, who in turn, have the opportunity to produce his/her work in the School's relaxed academic atmosphere. The boys also have the opportunity to learn how a writer earns their living through artistic achievement, and gain an insight into what such a career involves.

The resident also undertakes masterclasses with the boys and works closely with the wider Sherborne community. He/she is also be available to the academic staff for consultation.
