New funds for bursaries and sport launched - autumn 2009 |

The Foundation has launched two new funds in areas which are at the heart of life at Sherborne - bursaries and sport. Both funds will form a major part of the Annual Fund 2009/10 and we hope that as many OS, parents and friends of the School as possible will support these funds and participate in Sherborne's exciting future. Sherborne's new music school gets underway |
|
Planning permission for the new music school was granted in December 2008 and the School embarked upon the next stage of the project with a 'turning of the sod' ceremony in January 2009. It is hoped to have contractors on site before the end of February 2009. |

Foundation's 2008 Annual Report |

Each year, the Foundation reports and evaluates its progress in a publication which is mailed to all OS, parents and other supporters of the School during the autumn. This year, the Report celebrates a whole decade of work as the Foundation looks back on the projects supported since its inception in 1998. Bow Society Events (2008) |
|
During 2008, the Bow Society conducted two meetings: the first at Merchant Taylors' Hall in London in June, and the second at Sherborne in September. Both convivial events afforded excellent attendance and hospitality, and the Sherborne lunch even provided an opportunity to see the 1st XV clinch a win over Canford which was incredibly well received.
