The Sherborne Foundation exists to support the development of Sherborne School, and to support its continuation as a top academic school for boys that promotes the widest opportunity and fulfilment outside the classroom.

The scope and interest of boys' activities last year, both in and beyond school, are detailed in The Shirburnian 2014/15. It makes impressive reading. A number of the enrichment activities were enabled or supported by generous giving to last year's Annual Fund.
Various boys were enabled to go on music, sporting and cultural tours and trips thanks to donations to the Travel and Bursary Fund and The Peter Currie Fund, while a significant sum was granted to fund additional expert sports coaching across a variety of sports.
The Inspirational Speaker Programme and the Science Festival also benefited from gifts made to the Foundation last year. Leaders in their fields came to Sherborne to speak and interact with boys, opening their eyes and minds to new ideas and possibilities.
We are grateful for each and every contribution to changing a boy's life.
This year, we have supported The Sherborne Sessions 2016, Sherborne School's biennial 'how to write' festival that brings 1,000+ pupils from Sherborne and other local schools together with a number of leading writers in their fields, from poets and novelists to screenwriters and comedy writers, many of them award winners. The festival, in October 2016, was very well received.
Details of the Annual Fund 2016/17 will be published shortly.
Thank you for your interest and support.
